Up for your consideration is a set of two empty replica two-piece WWII 25 ROUND MILITARY CONTRACT BRASS "00" BUCK SHOTGUN SHELL cartons with two different Winchester Repeating Arms (WRA) labels.
All shotgun ammunition was initially delivered to the government in 25 round cartons, exactly as sold in the civilian market, but with a "US Property" stamp on the label. The "00" Buck loading in paper hulls was procured by the Ordnance Department for Riot, Guard, and Combat use. By late 1944, all-brass "00" buck shells began replacing the paper-cased combat rounds that were becoming unusable in the damp climates of Alaska and the Pacific. Contracts were given to both Winchester Repeating Arms (WRA) and Remington Arms (RA) for the all-brass shells that were packed in 25-round cartons with military contract labels. Then, in early 1945, the all-brass "00" buck round was standardized by Ordnance as the M19. The brass round for combat use continued into the post-war period.
Each "Buy It Now" single purchase is for two unassembled 2-piece 25-round cartons with two different Winchester Repeating Arms Brass "00" Buck military contract labels. The cartons will be shipped flat, with assembly instructions, and the shipping is free within the US. I had a lot of these made, so if you want multiple sets, just change the auction quantity before you click on the "Buy It Now" button.
