Description
Originally purchased for over K in December 2004 for the VA, this Trailer was only used for training and maintenance purposes. Many of the original connectors, hoses, and accessories have never been opened or used. During a personnel change, the Trailer was moved to an outside storage area where some of the water systems were allowed to freeze causing some plumbing damage.Tour of 2004 Nor-E SCT-24 Decontamination Unit

Recently towed from Illinois to Florida, 3 new tires were installed. It was towed with a Ford E-350 Van and I wouldn't recommend doing that again. Due to it's dimensions it has a lot of drag, and going over 55mph causes swaying (I don't have anti-sway on my hitch). Passing semi-trucks can also cause severe swaying when passed at higher speeds. A weight distribution system with an anti-sway assembly is highly recommend for future towing. This trailer is HEAVY.
But past getting it relocated, the options for this trailer's use are truly limited only by your imagination. With onboard diesel power generation, fuel tank, water tank, heater, air compressor, two very solid interior areas that are meant to decontaminate hazardous materials you can use it as it was meant to be used or convert it. Both ramps leading into the forward area are heavy duty and could support ATV/UTV traffic, the showering capability could be used for cleaning/washing purposes. Both side doors have pull out stairways. Side lower hatch has a roller conveyor stand assembly that can be attached allowing for gear/equipment to be slid through another washing station. Or this could be updated to a kitchen and the rollers used to pass trays/food through, or a window A/C unit could be put in place and the back part of the unit used as living quarters. Water system has several different types of connectors and this can be hooked up to a fire hydrant for additional filling options.
Two slide up doors give access to a rear shelved storage area where the water system accessories are currently kept. The side slide door opens up to the mid-section utility area. The Generator, Water Heater, Electrical distribution box, air compressor, and pumps are located in here with working space to access the equipment. Additional camp items could also be stored in here during transit. Using a water filtration kit, it's possible to make use of local water sources to refill the internal system. Both compartments feed waste water to connectors that could be attached to external waste bladder or 55gal drums for ecological disposal at water treatment facilities or RV dump areas.
I plan on doing as much refurbishment as possible and to correct any damage done by the freezing, so initially I'll be accepting Best Offers for the Trailer as/is. Once I can get it in operation as a decontamination unit, the price will increase.
