Okay, I got taken.
I was told at an estate sale that this car belonged to the lady’s father for 20 plus years and he bought it at an antique store (all of which is probably true).
But upon further research I believe it is a reproduction.
It is an excellent reproduction and a very well made cast iron race car.
Although it could probably fool many buyers I will not sell it as an original.
All that being said it is really well done and a beautiful car in its own right.
The exhaust flames move up and down when the front wheels turn.
It is 10 3/4 inches long and weighs over 3 pounds.
It is a great reminder of the real thing and looks great on display!
