Amazing, All Original, Early “Hubley(?)” Cast Iron/Tin Ferris Wheel.
Listed here is an unbelievable, extremely rare, all original antique Ferris wheel. I am not an expert in this field, but I was told that the maker is “Hubley”. I honestly do not know for sure. I have no way to verify “who” the maker is. I have looked the piece over thoroughly, but I cannot find a makers mark anywhere.(If anyone knows who the maker is, or where the makers-mark should be on this item, please let me know). This Ferris wheel comes with its original key that winds the spring mechanism on the base. There are a total of “12” original iron/metal male figures(all are dressed in suits, bow-ties & top hats) riding the Ferris wheel. None of the figures(men) are missing, broken or damaged whatsoever. This amazing toy has its original red, brown/tan & black paint. Very very minor paint loss(if any). The Ferris wheel is approximately 17” high & 14” wide. All metal(Tin &/or steel). This item is very old, but it is in excellent condition for its age. The Ferris wheel is also in great working condition. The original key turns/winds very easy. This Ferris wheel has never been offered to the public, until now. The family told me that it has been in a private, high-end toy collection for @ least 45-50 years. This is a spectacular example of a very early Ferris wheel. And In my personal opinion, it is definitely museum quality. This will absolutely be the center-piece in someone’s collection. Best example that I have ever seen or had the privilege of owning. Pristine example of a highly desirable, very early & rare Ferris wheel! 🎡🎡🎡🙂🙃
