This product is ideal for creating quality masters on your older audio CD recorder.  Many pro audio recorders that are in high-end audio systems still use older recorders.  If your recorder is older and used for audio mastering, these discs are made using old stampers, which still have all the older drive ATIP specs (info given to disc manufacturers so they can optimize their media for every drive), so they will work with your old 1X to 12X recorder.
These are the media needed for recording on Philips, Pioneer, Harman/Kardon, JVC & Marantz (and others) brands of home CD-Recorders.  Known as Digital-Audio, these are the media supported by consumer audio-only cd-to-cd home recorders.  These consumer audio-only CD-R discs meet the standards of the Audio Home Recording Act (AHRA) of 1992, which requires a royalty to be paid by the disc manufacturer to the music industry.  These CD-R's support the Serial Copy Management System.
These discs have an unbranded, no-logo, white inkjet surface.  In the center hub, it reads, "MAM Audio Master 24K Gold Inkjet CD-R 1x - 12x", which is the manufacturer's way to indicate that these are Digital-Audio CD-R's.
Gold record surface.  The printable surface is perfectly suited for high-resolution color inkjet printing.  Not hub printable.  Printable area is from 38mm-116mm.

Important Compatibility Note:
Some Philips models (specifically the 775 model, and occasionally the 765, 785 and other similar models) may not work with these cd-r's due to the Philips' common problem of a faulty power calibration unit.  This problem is becoming rare, but small quantities are recommended for testing.  As these media are designed for stand-alone, digital-audio cd recorders, this type of media is not required for pc recorders, and therefore compatibility with a pc recorder is not guaranteed.
