1980 Fruehauf Enclosed Utility Trailer

This trailer is a piece of transportation history. These 5 x 8 aluminum body trailers were made for the Jartran company back in 1980. These were made by the Fruehauf company which still produces tractor trailers and serious over the road trailers. Jartran was similar to U-Haul but went out
Of business in 1981. We have owned the trailer since 1981….. over 40 years and it’s time to let someone else enjoy
It. As you can see, it has all its original Jartran graphics although they’re faded. This trailer always gets compliments on how heavy duty it is for its size and age. It’s mostly original with the exception of the tongue Jack and LED tail lights. We’ve towed this around the country with everything from a 4 cylinder jeep to a 1 ton dually pickup. It has 15” trailer rated tires with bearing buddies on the hubs and a 2” ball hitch. The trailer has papers which are in my name and ready to transfer to the new owner. Any questions, just ask.
